Prepare for the onslaught of the traffic of motorcycles and scooters. Lots of young women ride these in their high heels and hot pants and riders do not don any helmets. Apparently, they drive slowly enough so I quickly get used to crossing without much fear. Having said that, I have been that close.. many times.. and got away by just a hair's breadth. It is the endless beeping and horning of the bikes that drain your mind.

If they knock you down, they have less liability if you die than if you are injured.
Be prepared to be run over twice.
