Aerophile.. the what?
Here are some fabulous pictures of Singapore taken from a hot-air balloon, the latest tourist (or local) attraction, stationed at this empty lot next to the (oddly named) 7th storey hotel at Bugis.
A colleague mass-emailed out the discount coupon which gives a ride that lasts around 15 minutes for S$16. Someone asked if the thing simply goes up and stay or actually travels around. So another replied cheekily that if balloon moves around, a few minutes into it and we would, opps, intruded into Malaysian airspace or, opps, gone into Indonesian airspace...so it only moves upwards and stay.
Shucks.
This might be a good idea as Mother's Day treat (trip?) or in the case of a mother-in-law, you can trip her over.
