Japan festival Thai version

Hordes of teens turned up for the Japanese festival held in MahBoonKong. Many dressed in jap school uniform and making cute poses. They unbashly posed for photographs. It was kind of bizarre to see Thai people with such a rich culture of their own idolising another. A little funny. A little sad.

What a change

Recent visit to Thailand brought some surprises. A lot more malls are up now and some are really mega. Many boutiques are decorated tastefully. Before there were not much high-end goods to look at, now you can find any luxury brands there. The scene there now caters to a full range of shoppers. Sheesh, who will come to shop in Singapore anymore..

Logistical Challenge

Rows and rows and rows of shelves
If you search the library catalog and the location information says "Repository Used Book Collection", it means the book has been shifted to the warehouse. For a postage fee, it can be recalled back for loan.

Elderly babe

Two elderly gentlemen from a retirement center were sitting on a bench under a tree when one turns to the other and says,"Slim, I'm 83 years old now and I'm just full of aches and pains. I know you're about my age. How do you feel?"

Slim says, "I feel just like a new-born
baby."

"Really!? Like a new-born baby!?"

"Yep, No hair, no teeth, and I think I just wet my
pants."
